Pays attention to detail The shift: Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm, with a one hour lunch break The role: As a customer service representative for Cornerstone Health Systems you will be the customer's first interaction with our company. Your job will be to interview the customer, speak with doctor's offices about referrals, input customer orders, and work with them to help them get the best service.In depth:
- New Patient entry o Insurance verification
- Verification of orders o Coordinate with doctor's office
- Answer telephone
- Enter referral data in Brightree
- Talks with referral sources and customers receiving orders for delivery and pick-up, including but not limited to: o Patient demographics o Emergency contact information o Insurance information and verification o Physician Information o Diagnosis o Billing Information
- Completes verification of insurance for DME coverage and prior authorization information, including but not limited to: o Deductible o Effective date o Claims address
- Informs patient or patients caregiver of benefits (what the policy reimburses).
- Arrange private pay billing if required.
- Complete any special instructions for billing to the patient's insurance prior to the delivery.
- Solicit sale of new or additional services.
- Adjust complaints concerning billing or service rendered, referring complaints of service failures to designated departments for investigation.
- Responsible for forwarding completed paperwork to the HME Information Manager to log equipment set-up and pick-up for tracking purposes.
- File and/or creates patient's records.
- Assist in trade show or exhibit set-ups and attendance.
- May have to communicate with company's customers that may be: o School Age Child (6
- 12) o Adolescent (12
- 18) o Early Adulthood (18
- 44) o Middle Adulthood (45
- 64) o Late Adulthood (Over 65)
- Participate in Improvement of Operational Performance (IOP) activities.
- Participate in traditional and e-learning programs.

- High School Diploma or General Education Requirement (GED)
