Job Description

Customer Service Representative - Boat Trailers / Parts Support Customer service experience + mechanical, automotive, marine, or parts knowledge? This may be the perfect fit. Boatmate Trailers, LLC is seeking a Customer Service Representative to join our team in Maryville, TN. This position is ideal for someone with a strong customer service background and a mechanical, automotive, manufacturing, marine, or parts-related background. This is not a typical call center role. Our Customer Service team helps customers, dealers, and end users with questions related to custom boat trailers, replacement parts, warranty information, certificates of origin, product support, and order assistance. Candidates who have worked in auto parts stores, service departments, dealerships, marine/boating environments, manufacturing, or similar technical customer service roles are strongly encouraged to apply.
Schedule:
Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. What You'll Do The purpose of this position is to ensure that Boatmate customers receive superior customer service in a timely, courteous, and quality-driven manner.
Responsibilities include:
Assist customers by phone, email, online chat, and in person. Provide product support and help customers with parts orders, product inquiries, warranty questions, and website/portal navigation. Help troubleshoot customer concerns by identifying the issue, determining the best solution, explaining the next steps, and following through until resolved. Process or assist with warranties, claims, certificates of origin, reimbursement parts, and replacement parts. Provide pricing, delivery, and order information. Escalate complex customer complaints or technical questions to the appropriate specialist or manager. Maintain accurate communication and follow-up with customers, dealers, and internal team members. Complete other duties and cross-training activities as assigned. What We're Looking For Qualified candidates should have: High school diploma or equivalent. At least two years of customer service experience. Mechanical, manufacturing, automotive, marine, or parts advisor experience. Strong computer skills, including the ability to navigate websites, search systems, process information, and use email and office programs. Ability to type at least 50 words per minute. Strong communication, active listening, and problem-solving skills. Ability to stay organized, manage time well, and follow through on customer issues. Willingness to learn boat trailer components, parts, warranty processes, and internal systems. Preferred Background We are especially interested in candidates with experience in any of the following areas: Auto parts stores or parts counter work Automotive service departments Marine, boating, or trailer-related experience Manufacturing customer service Warranty or claims support Metal fabrication, trailer components, or surge brake systems Technical product support Physical Requirements Prolonged periods of sitting or standing at a desk while using a phone and computer. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds when assisting with parts or related materials. Work Environment This position works in a manufacturing environment and must follow all safety rules and PPE requirements when entering production areas. Why Apply?
