About:
We are seeking a Customer Service Representative with a healthcare or medical background to support Medicaid providers and clients. In this role, you will handle high-volume inbound calls, assist with questions related to eligibility, medical claims, and Medicaid program information , resolve issues when possible, and ensure every customer interaction is accurately documented.
Responsibilities:
Provide prompt, courteous, and accurate assistance to Medicaid providers and clients. Respond to inquiries related to Medicaid eligibility, medical claims status, and program-related questions . Research and assist with resolving customer issues as needed. Handle a high volume of inbound calls while maintaining quality and professionalism. Document all customer interactions accurately and concisely in online systems/logs. Transfer callers to the appropriate Call Center unit when additional assistance is required. Meet established individual performance, productivity, quality, and attendance standards. Maintain strict adherence to required attendance and performance metrics. Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum 6 months of recent contact center/call center experience in a verifiable high-volume call center environment. Healthcare, medical, Medicaid, insurance, claims, or healthcare customer service experience is strongly preferred. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to handle high call volumes while maintaining accuracy and professionalism. Ability to work any assigned 8-hour shift between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM . Preferred Skills Experience in a medical, healthcare, Medicaid, insurance, or claims environment . MS Office experience. Experience working with customer service or healthcare-related computer systems. Strong problem-solving and multitasking abilities.
