Responsibilities Schedule drivers, trailers, and support equipment. Coordinate route planning in compliance with state and local regulations. Obtain and manage oversize/overweight permits and escort requirements. Communicate with drivers, customers and sales reps regarding load details, routing, delays, and safety concerns with real-time updates. Proactively resolve challenges and delays promptly and professionally. Respond quickly to schedule changes, emergencies, customer and driver needs. Maintain accurate dispatch records, and documentation. Work closely with customers, permitting agencies, and escort services. Ensure compliance with DOT, FMCSA, and Texas Department of Transportation regulations. Assist with load planning, weight distribution, and equipment matching. Provide quotes to customers and assist with billing documentation. Monitor HOS to ensure compliance with FMCSA laws. Primary point of contact for drivers, resolving issues, with loading/ unloading and ensuring efficient, on-time delivery, ect. Manage after-hours communication and support as needed. Performs other related duties as assigned by management. Requirements This job is not for everyone, punctuality is non-negotiable. Must be capable of being on time. Hours are 7-5, M-F with rotating on-call schedule. Proven experience in dispatching within road transportation operations or logistics environments. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Excellent communication skills—both verbal and written—and phone etiquette to manage customer service interactions professionally. Must be able to sit for long periods of time. Climb up and down stairs daily.
Pay:
$1,057.69 - $1,153.84 per week
