Job Overview We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Service Writer to join our team. The ideal candidate will act as a liaison between customers and the service department, ensuring that all service needs are accurately communicated and fulfilled. This role requires a strong understanding of automotive repair processes and excellent customer service skills to provide an exceptional experience for our clients. Duties Greet customers and assess their service needs in a professional manner. Document customer concerns and vehicle issues accurately. Prepare detailed estimates for repairs, including parts and labor costs. Coordinate with technicians to ensure timely completion of services. Maintain accurate records of services performed and customer interactions. Handle cash transactions and process payments efficiently. Follow up with customers regarding service status and satisfaction. Stay updated on automotive technology, repair techniques, and industry trends. Skills Proficient in auto estimating and service management processes. Knowledgeable in diesel engine repair, air brake systems, and general automotive repair. Strong mechanical knowledge to understand vehicle maintenance requirements. Ability to align customer needs with available services effectively. Excellent cash handling skills for processing transactions accurately. Strong communication skills to convey technical information clearly to customers. Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
