Job Description
The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office is seeking qualified applicants for a full-time Customer Service Specialist position located within the Records Section at the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office Headquarters Building. Major duties include but are not limited to:
- Greet and direct citizens and law enforcement personnel who approach the front counter of the headquarters building to the appropriate destination and/or provide the appropriate services upon request.
- Coordinate with all Divisions within the Sheriff's Office regarding appointments, training and prescheduled meetings.
- Issue, maintain and reconcile daily the visitor badges and visitor log.
- Answer general Records Section questions over the telephone and/or in person;
- Provide customer service assistance to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office employees, citizens, military personnel, federal and other law enforcement agencies.
- Additional tasks include daily written, telephonic, and/or walk-in customer service requests which may include fingerprinting citizens and applicants, processing criminal history checks, concealed handgun permits, solicitor permits, and inquiries into
VCIN/NCIC.
- Process mail requests, filing, photocopying, completing forms in reference to criminal history checks and requests for copies of accident reports and/or offense reports.
- The position will provide Notary Public services, collect fees and maintain receipts, file/maintain all paperwork accordingly.
- Maintain the cash drawer for making change.
- Must have excellent customer service skills and the ability to adapt to difficult situations, as well as the ability to manage multiple priorities while working in a team environment and/or independently as needed.
VCIN/NCIC

certified and obtain a Notary Public license within one year of employment.
