Overview WEVS is growing again! We are adding additional techs, Mobile service techs as well as a second location. We are looking to hire 2 advisors and or 1 advisor and one office manager. Preference given to diesel or emergency vehicle experience but is not required. Must simply be willing to learn. Very laid back atmosphere and not the rat race of a fast paced dealership. Pay plan will range from straight hourly or customized based on applicants knowledge and experience. We provide repair and maintenance to Emergency vehicles, light, medium, and Heavy duty trucks, as well as Engine building / machining. We are adding an additional Service advisor/ writer to support the added workflow. WEVS is a family owned and operated small business that prioritizes a family first work environment. We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Service Writer to join our automotive service team. The ideal candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for customers seeking automotive services, ensuring that their needs are met with professionalism and efficiency. This role requires a blend of strong communication skills, sales acumen, and a solid understanding of automotive, and heavy-duty services. Duties Low and manageable in person customer customer activity. Mostly contracted and fleet customers. Greet customers and assess their service needs, providing exceptional customer service throughout the process. Accurately document customer requests and vehicle issues to facilitate effective communication with technicians. Provide detailed explanations of services recommended, including upselling additional services when appropriate. Manage cash handling processes, including processing payments and maintaining accurate transaction records. Coordinate with mechanics and technicians to ensure timely completion of services such as services, preventative maintenance, and large repairs. Maintain a clean and organized service area to enhance customer experience. Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and encourage repeat business. Manage workflow through our shop software Fullbay. Create service orders for technicians and assist in providing diagnostic information. Qualifications Previous experience in an automotive and or heavy truck repair service environment is preferred, particularly in roles related to service writing or auto service management. Strong sales skills with a proven ability to upsell services effectively. Familiarity with automotive and heavy truck terminology and repair processes. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer interaction. Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly. A background in mechanics or auto body repair is a plus but not mandatory. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
