Role:
The Cashier/Store Customer Service Representative (CSR) plays a vital role in ensuring a positive shopping experience for customers by efficiently handling transactions and addressing customer inquiries. This position is responsible for accurately processing sales, returns, and exchanges while maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor. The role requires attentiveness to detail to manage cash, credit, and other payment methods securely and accurately. Additionally, the CSR supports store operations by assisting with inventory management, stocking, and maintaining a clean and organized checkout area. Ultimately, this role contributes to customer satisfaction and store success by delivering exceptional service and fostering a welcoming environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.

Basic math skills and ability to handle cash transactions accurately.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.

Legal authorization to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in retail or customer service roles.

Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and cash handling procedures.

Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Basic knowledge of inventory management.
Responsibilities:
Greet customers warmly and provide prompt, courteous service at the point of sale.

Accurately process cash, credit, debit, and other forms of payment using the stores POS system.

Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints, and provide information about products and store policies.

Assist with stocking shelves, organizing merchandise, and maintaining cleanliness in the checkout and store areas.

Balance cash drawers at the beginning and end of shifts and report any discrepancies to management.
