Job Description
Job Duties:
The Camping & Programing Assistant supports the mission critical activities of the Outdoor Programming Department by performing any or all of the following duties:Telephone Customer Service:
Answering incoming calls, greeting the callers, providing required information, transferring incoming calls or taking messages.Email Customer Service:
Answering incoming emails timely with correct information or forwarding to the appropriate subject matter expert on staff.Reception:
Greeting members as they walk in and providing great customer service.Payment Processing:
Accept and process online, telephone, and in-person payments, credits, and refunds for event fees, facility rentals, activity fees, membership dues, product sales, etc.Reservation Processing:
Coordinate summer camp registrations and camping facilities reservations. Camper data entry and validation. Assist with processing membership applications as needed. Serves as backup to other office support staff. Other clerical duties as assigned.Requirements:
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Dynamic interpersonal and customer service skills. Professional telephone etiquette. Results-oriented organizational skills. Meticulous attention to detail. Adaptive problem-solving skills. Impact-driven task prioritization. Knowledge of proper cash handling procedures. Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 suite or related software. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Experience with BlackPug and/or Wordpress helpful, but not required. Knowledge working with a postage machine, check reader, and/or duplicator a plus. High school diploma or GED a must, vocational training certificate or associate degree preferred. Must be able to pass a background check; no violent crimes, no neglect, abuse, endangerment, or other crimes against children. Must be able to adhere to the values of the Scout Oath and Law.Job Type:
