We are a busy hometown bakery with a large product line, that specializing in artisan products. Ashland Baking Company is a LGBTQ friendly work environment. Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Sales Associate to join our dynamic team. This is a great position for confident, friendly individuals who are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Weekends required with availability morning/afternoon or afternoon/evening. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, stocking products displayed to customers, and the general duties of caring for our retail space. You will play a crucial role in creating a positive shopping experience and driving sales through effective communication and product knowledge. Earn tips in addition to your base wage. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting products. Operate the cash register efficiently, handling cash transactions and processing payments accurately. Utilize retail math skills to manage inventory and assist with stock replenishment. Maintain a clean and organized sales area and work space, ensuring products are displayed attractively. Provide knowledgeable answers to customer inquiries regarding products and store policies. Collaborate with team members to achieve store goals and maintain high standards of customer service. Qualifications Previous experience in a retail environment is preferred, particularly in food service. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse customers. Basic math skills required for cash handling and inventory management. A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn are essential for success in this role.
