About Us:
SEGUES helps older adults and their families navigate life transitions with dignity, compassion, and confidence. Since 1999, we have provided senior move management services throughout Wisconsin and Northern Illinois, including downsizing, organizing, packing and unpacking, move coordination, relocation, donation and cleanout coordination, and setting up new homes. Our work is about more than moving belongings. We help people through what can be an emotional and overwhelming transition. Every member of the SEGUES team plays a role in making that experience easier, more organized, and more respectful for our clients and their families.
Position Summary:
As a Relocation Specialist, you will work primarily fellow relocation specialists to provide hands-on support with various stages of our clients relocation or decluttering journey including but not limited to, packing, organizing, downsizing, and setting up their new home. This is a rewarding role for someone who enjoys meaningful work, problem-solving, and bringing calm to what can be a stressful time for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide professional packing and unpacking services with care and attention to detail. Assist clients with sorting, organizing, and making decisions about household belongings. Support clients in the downsizing process, including donation and disposal coordination. Help plan and set up the new home, ensuring comfort, safety, and familiar surroundings. Handle client belongings respectfully and with discretion at all times. Maintain a clean, organized work environment during moves. Work alongside the moving crew on move day, completing final preparations and confirming all items are loaded. Support efficient project operations by delivering and retrieving moving supplies at client locations as needed.
Qualifications:
2+ years of working experience requiring excellent communication skills and teamwork Compassionate, patient, and respectful demeanor—especially with older adults. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to lift and carry boxes and furniture (typically up to 40 lbs). Ability and comfort to walk up and down stairs. Ability to work while standing up to 8 hours. Ability to reach, grab, fold, bend, squat as role requires. Comfortable working in fast-paced, hands-on environments. Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license. Exceptional attendance and reliability.
Schedule & Hours:
Flexible hours; most work is during weekdays, with occasional weekends as needed. Part-time opportunities available based on availability and workload.
