Job Summary:
Under the direction of the Customer Service/Inside Sales Supervisor, the Customer Service Representative I answer customer calls, respond to customer questions, research customer inquiries, provide quotes, and enter orders. This position supports outside sales representatives in their designated territory. Strong written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and a strong desire to provide a high degree of customer service are essential.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Process inquiries for parts, service, and new equipment. Answer phone calls and emails, providing price quotes and other information. Process orders for parts and service, expediting orders as needed. Support territory sales managers by providing quotes, following up with customers, and order entry. Assist customers in selecting required parts in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner. Monitor low stock or out-of-stock parts and work with inventory control to provide prompt resolution. Communicate backordered and delayed shipments to customers. Participate in all training and continuous improvement activities. Ensure the completion and maintenance of all required paperwork, documentation, files, records, etc. Uphold all safety rules, standards, procedures, and PPE requirements to ensure a safe working environment. Qualifications:
Ability to communicate effectively via phone calls, email, and in-person. Ability to function well in a fast-paced and at times stressful environment. Strong problem-solving skills. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Proficiency in computer skills (MS Office, Outlook, Word, Excel, and an ERP system - or equivalent). Education and/or
Experience:
An Associate degree in Business or other relevant field, or equivalent experience required. 2-3 years of experience in customer service or parts counter experience preferred. Experience with navigating an ERP System for parts quoting, order entry, and parts research purposes. Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
