Job Description

Pacific Customs Brokers has been in business for over 100 years, and we are always looking for our next generation of brokers. Consider starting your new journey as a Customs Administrative Assistant / Customs Clerk, where you will play an important role in the import clearance process. What We Do We are an integral player in the supply chain and are best known for our brokerage services. We assist importers by ensuring their shipment paperwork is complete and meets US requirements. We then make an electronic declaration on their behalf to the government to allow their goods to enter the country. But that's not all we do! We are passionate about international trade and also offer advisory services to the business community. We help companies navigate trade agreements, determine the value of their goods, and pass any other hurdles they may encounter bringing goods into this country. Because international trade is a 24/7/365 business, this role is on a shift-based schedule, with time assignments which will vary and will include days, afternoons, and at times overnights. This is not a Monday to Friday daytime job, and the shift will also usually include a Saturday and/or Sunday. Shift schedules will be assigned at least a month in advance and employees will always be full-time.
Requirements :
Available for days/afternoons/evenings, including at least one weekend day Typing speed of 40 WPM or better Professional telephone etiquette (previous reception and/or CSR experience is an asset) Administrative experience (i.e. filing, scanning, data entry) is beneficial Ability to complete physical tasks such as sitting, bending, and crouching Must be able to speak, read, and write English at a professional level Must be in the US and have the right to work at the time of application. We Offer :
Starting wage of $19.40 plus shift premiums (i.e. additional $1.50 per hour for any hours worked between 6 pm and 11 pm and additional $2.50 for any hours worked between 11 pm and 5 am) Full-time employment (40 hours/week) Employees (and their families) are covered by Medical, Dental, and Vision Benefits Employees are covered by Life Insurance, can enroll in our company's 401K plan, and can participate in profit-sharing.
