Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing Daycare Teacher to join our childcare team. The ideal candidate will provide a safe, engaging, and stimulating environment for children from infancy to preschool age. The Daycare Teacher is responsible for creating lesson plans, teaching, and managing the classroom while ensuring the overall well-being and development of the children while following minimum standards. Duties
  • Plan and implement daily activities that promote childhood development, including educational games, arts, and physical exercises.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
  • Develop and implement individualized lesson plans to meet the unique needs of each child.
  • Manage classroom behavior and develop strategies to address any behavioral issues that may arise.
  • Provide infant care, including feeding, burping, and changing diapers.
  • Administer first aid when necessary.
  • Engage with children, promote social skills, and encourage positive behaviors.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, providing regular updates on their child's progress and any issues that may arise.
  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff members to ensure a cohesive and supportive childcare environment. Qualifications
  • Experience working with children of various ages, including infants and toddlers.
  • Knowledge of childhood development theories and best practices.
  • Proven classroom management skills, including the ability to maintain a safe and organized environment.
  • Current certification in first aid and CPR.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods.
  • Experience with behavior management and addressing behavioral issues.
  • Familiarity with the principles of childhood development and the importance of providing a nurturing and supportive environment. Skills
  • Experience working in a daycare or childcare setting.
  • Knowledge of childhood development and the ability to create engaging and educational activities.
  • Effective classroom management skills.
  • Ability to manage classroom behavior and address behavioral issues.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage with children and provide regular updates to parents.
