Job Description

2026-2027 School Year | Full Time | San Tan Valley, AZ | AZ Teaching Certification (Deaf/Hard of Hearing Endorsement Required) About the Role Provide specialized instruction and support to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing across educational settings. As a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH), you'll help students build communication, language, academic, and self-advocacy skills while ensuring full access to the educational environment. This role combines direct instruction, consultative services, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams in a supportive, mission-driven environment. Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k) match, & more Paid Sick Leave, Holidays, and Vacation CEU reimbursement, tuition assistance, and ongoing professional development opportunities What You'll Do Provide direct and consultative services to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing in general and special education settings Assess student communication, language, auditory, and academic needs Develop and implement IEP goals aligned to communication access, language development, listening skills, and academic success Support students using a variety of communication modalities, including spoken language, sign language, total communication, and/or assistive listening technology Collaborate with audiologists, speech-language pathologists, interpreters, teachers, related service providers, and families Recommend and support classroom accommodations and assistive technology (e.g., FM systems, captioning, amplification devices) Monitor and document student progress; maintain compliant IEP documentation Participate in and lead IEP meetings as appropriate Train staff on strategies and accommodations to support students who are
Deaf or Hard of Hearing What We're Looking For Required:
Arizona Department of Education Special Education Teaching Certificate with Deaf/Hard of Hearing Endorsement Bachelor's degree
IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card Preferred:
Master's degree in Deaf Education, Special Education, or related field 2-5 years of experience working with students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing Experience with ASL, total communication, auditory/oral approaches, or bilingual-bicultural models Familiarity with assistive listening devices and classroom accommodations Strong organizational, collaboration, and problem-solving skills Experience with IEP documentation systems (e.g., IEP Pro) About Point Quest Group Point Quest Group is a leading national provider of special education services, partnering with 350+ school districts to help students with unique needs thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
