Jul 1, 2027 Job Description Reporting to the Principal, the Dean of Students is responsible for enhancing the quality of student life by focusing on building an understanding of respectful behavior and restorative practices. The Dean of Students will:
  • Oversee day-to-day disciplinary issues with the planning room staff and assist in investigations of hazing, harassment or bullying.
  • Proactively and effectively communicate with parents and work closely with the school counselor, planning room staff, intervention staff, athletic director and department chairs to support students in learning the tools to manage their behavior.
  • Enter disciplinary data into the student management system.
  • Be a partner in student engagement, building a respectful community, equity and inclusion.
  • Assumes all responsibility for school leadership, decision-making, and operational safety in the principal's absence.
  • Assists in conducting classroom observations, evaluating staff performance, assists with personnel matters, supervisory responsibilities, and implementing curriculum improvements.
  • Assists Principal with budget development.
