Job Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant, where your energy and dedication will help create a welcoming environment for patients seeking exceptional oral healthcare. Duties Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, ensuring all equipment is sterilized and organized according to aseptic technique standards. Assist dentists during a variety of procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry, providing chairside support with precision and care. Take and develop dental X-rays, including 3D scans when applicable, ensuring accurate imaging for diagnosis and treatment planning. Manage patient records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Dentrix or Epic, maintaining accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Monitor vital signs of patients before procedures to ensure safety and comfort throughout their visit. Support front desk operations by acting as a dental receptionist—answering patient inquiries, scheduling appointments, and managing medical records efficiently. Follow infection control protocols meticulously to uphold the highest standards of safety and hygiene within the dental clinic environment. Assist with medical coding for billing purposes related to dental procedures and ensure proper documentation of medical records for insurance claims. Experience Previous experience working in a dental clinic setting is highly preferred, especially with general dentistry or pediatric dentistry environments. Proficiency in using EMR systems such as Dentrix or Epic is essential for managing patient data accurately. Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology enhances your ability to communicate effectively within the team. Familiarity with infection control practices, aseptic techniques, and sterilization processes is required to maintain a safe clinical environment. Experience with X-ray technology—including digital imaging and 3D scanners—is advantageous for supporting comprehensive patient care. Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations ensures confidentiality and proper handling of medical records. Certification in dental assisting or related fields is preferred; ongoing training in pediatric dentistry or advanced imaging techniques is a plus.
