Job Description

Dental Assistant Support Specialist Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Dental Assistant to join our multi-doctor periodontal practice in a role focused on sterilization, operatory turnover, and surgical/exam room preparation . Key responsibilities include instrument processing and sterilization, maintaining infection control standards, efficient room turnover, and ensuring operatories are fully prepared for exams and surgical procedures . This role is essential to maintaining clinical flow and supporting a high-functioning specialty environment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and efficient , with a strong understanding of sterile protocols and the pace of a specialty practice. What We Are Looking for : Strong attention to detail and adherence to sterilization and infection control protocols Efficient, organized, and able to maintain operatory flow throughout the day Clear communication and basic computer proficiency Team-oriented with a reliable, accountable work style Ability to work in a fast-paced specialty environment Responsibilities / Skills Oversee and maintain the Sterilization Center, ensuring all instruments and equipment meet strict infection control standards Manage instrument processing, sterilization cycles, and organization of clinical supplies Coordinate and execute efficient operatory turnover to support daily clinical flow Prepare operatories for exams and surgical procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are ready Monitor and assist with inventory management, keeping rooms and sterilization fully stocked Maintain compliance with infection control and safety protocols in a surgical setting Communicate effectively with the clinical team to support workflow and productivity Utilize Open Dental software and basic computer systems for tracking and coordination as needed Demonstrate strong knowledge of dental terminology and procedures Maintain a high level of organization, efficiency, and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment What We Offer Supportive environment Advanced clinical training opportunities Exposure to specialized periodontal techniques Collaborative team of specialists Enjoyable position that can provide variety and enhance your dental assisting knowledge and skills., We are focused on delivering quality patient care in an energetic work environment.
