Fire Alarm Technician

Fire Alarm Technician Education:

• High School / GED
• Relevant trade experience

Certifications:

• Washington EL-06 Journeyman's License

NICET II FAS

• Seattle FA1

Preferred System Experience:

• Siemens/Pyrotronics
• EST (Edwards)
• Notifier
• Bosch
• Silent Knight

Fire Lite Responsibilities:

• Install and program new FA systems and devices.
• Support installation of FA systems.
• Respond to routine service calls and emergency calls in a timely fashion.
• Solve complex technical problems using solid troubleshooting skills to isolate faults and make repairs.
• Assist with fire alarm inspection testing on an as needed basis.
• Maintain accurate and detailed service tickets using a tablet or laptop.
• Provide technical support and training to end users and internal colleagues when applicable.
• Present a professional image of Smith Fire Systems at all times and seek opportunities to promote services offered by our organization.
• Communicate and work in a positive manner with other team members consistently to improve overall operations within Smith Fire Systems.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested.
• Ability to work with basic hand tools, multi-meters, and power tools.

Physical Demands:

• Duties include the use of a ladder and will include climbing and working in high places.
• Position may require candidate to work in confined spaces.

Employment Requirements:

• Candidates must possess a valid driver's license and pass a DMV background check.
• Candidates must be able to pass pre-employment requirements.

Compensation:

• Hourly Wage TBD - qualifications pending, 401K, vacation pay, holiday pay, sick pay, dental/medical/vison, and CEU/class compensations.

All tools provided by Smith Fire Systems.
