The ideal candidate will provide exceptional support to our dental practitioners, ensuring smooth clinic operations and delivering high-quality patient care. This role involves assisting the Dental Hygieniest. Responsibilities Assist dentists during examinations and procedures Take dental X-rays, ensuring proper safety and technique standards Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available Manage patient records using EMR systems such as Dentrix maintaining accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA Record vital signs and medical history information accurately prior to procedures Perform infection control procedures following aseptic techniques to prevent cross-contamination Educate patients on dental procedures, post-treatment care, and oral hygiene practices Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment in accordance with OSHA standards Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing medical documentation for pediatrics or other specialties as needed Support the use of advanced technology including 3D scanners and medical imaging equipment when applicable Skills Proficiency in dental software systems such as Dentrix, for scheduling and record keeping Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and best practices for patient confidentiality Experience with X-ray procedures and radiation safety protocols Strong understanding of dental terminology Familiarity with infection control standards and aseptic techniques Excellent communication skills for patient education and team collaboration Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Knowledge of medical terminology, medical coding, and medical records management is advantageous This position offers an opportunity to work within a professional dental practice committed to providing excellent patient care while supporting your career growth through ongoing training and development.
