Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to patient care, excellent clinical skills, and a thorough understanding of dental procedures and protocols. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a vital role in promoting oral health, assisting with patient assessments, and supporting the delivery of comprehensive dental services. This position offers an opportunity to work in a collaborative environment focused on providing exceptional dental care while adhering to the highest standards of safety and professionalism. Responsibilities Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup. Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical history, vital signs, and current dental conditions. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, treatment plans, and preventive care strategies tailored to pediatric dentistry when applicable. Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Eaglesoft Support infection control protocols by sterilizing instruments, managing medical records documentation review, and maintaining a sterile environment. Skills Proficiency in dental software systems such as Eaglesoft for scheduling, documentation, and record management. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and general dentistry procedures. Ability to accurately measure vital signs and recognize abnormal findings requiring further medical assessment. Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach tailored to diverse patient populations including pediatrics. Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure privacy compliance across all clinical activities.
