Dental Hygienist Full Time- 4 days per week Exceptional Dental of Kenner Position Summary At Exceptional Dental, we are looking for a patient-centered, upbeat Dental Hygienist who is passionate about delivering top-notch dental care. Monthly bonus potential Group health insurance 401(k) with company matching Paid time off & holidays Free life insurance Uniform stipend CE stipend Additional coverage options: vision, cancer, disability, and accident insurance In house trainings, including CPR What You'll Do Warmly welcome and seat patients, creating a positive and comfortable experience Prepare treatment rooms and ensure all hygiene procedures run smoothly Review and update patient health histories, chart progress, and reinforce home care routines Perform cleanings, scaling, and root planing for patients with periodontal disease Apply fluoride and other preventative agents to promote healthy smiles Examine gums, identify signs of gum disease, and communicate findings clearly to patients and doctors Educate and motivate patients on oral hygiene and preventative care Assist with sterilization and support team efficiency Schedule appropriate re-care appointments to encourage continuity of care Contribute to a collaborative, patient-focused environment What We're Looking For Associate's Degree from an ADA-accredited Dental Hygiene program Current State Licensure and CPR Certification At least 1 year of dental experience preferred (but not required) A caring personality and enthusiasm for patient education Working Conditions Balance of standing (60%) and sitting (40%) Moderate background noise from dental/lab equipment Frequent bending and movement in a clinical setting
