Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing exceptional patient care and will possess a strong understanding of dental hygiene practices. This role involves working closely with dentists to deliver high-quality services, ensuring patient comfort, and maintaining a clean and safe environment. Responsibilities Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations, including scaling and polishing teeth. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits. Take and document vital signs as part of patient assessments. Assist in pediatric dentistry procedures, ensuring a comfortable experience for young patients. Implement infection control protocols to maintain a safe clinical environment. Review documentation for accuracy and completeness in patient records. Utilize medical imaging systems to capture high-quality images for diagnostic purposes. Collaborate with the dental team in four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures. Maintain knowledge of anatomy relevant to dental hygiene practices. Requirements Valid dental hygiene license in the state of practice. Strong knowledge of general dentistry principles and practices. Familiarity with medical terminology related to dentistry. Experience or training in pediatric dentistry is preferred but not required. Proficiency in infection control standards and procedures. Ability to perform documentation review accurately and efficiently. Understanding of medical imaging systems used in dental settings. Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care. Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene. Pay:
$65.00 per hour Expected hours: 8 - 12 per week
