Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Office receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dental practice by providing exceptional patient interaction and schedule management. This position requires strong organizational skills, background in dental office reception and the ability to manage various office tasks efficiently. Dental Assisting experience is also preferred, but not mandatory. We have two locations, so candidate must be willing to go to travel to both. Orland Park location - 14540 John Humphrey Drive, Orland Park Mount Greenwood location - 3250 w 111th street, Chicago Monday and Wednesday in Orland Park. Tuesdays and Thursdays in Mount Greenwood. Responsibilities Greet patients and manage front desk operations, ensuring a welcoming environment. Schedule and confirm appointments while managing the dental calendar effectively. Conduct insurance verification and assist patients with their insurance inquiries. Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations. Utilize medical scheduling software such as Fuse and Weave for record management and patient communication. Assist in the collection of payments and manage billing inquiries. Communicate effectively with patients regarding treatment plans and office policies. Collaborate with dental staff to ensure seamless patient flow and high-quality care. Help as needed with sterilization, operatory set up and breakdown. Requirements Previous experience in a dental or healthcare setting is preferred but not mandatory. Proficiency in office management tasks, including scheduling and patient communication. Familiarity with insurance verification processes and medical collections is a plus. Knowledge of dental terminology is preferred for effective communication within the practice. Experience using electronic health record systems is advantageous. Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills are required. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
