- Sounds of Color Studio, Orange County's best music and creative arts school, is seeking a qualified, enthusiastic and highly motivated Sewing & Craft Teacher to meet our growing demand.
Job Requirements:
Plan and teach sewing and craft classes for groups of students ages 5 and up Prepare fun projects that support student engagement and skill development Prompt communication with parents/guardians and timely updates on student progress Prepare and clean up the classroom area before/after each class Clean background check and medical clearance (Live Scan fingerprint clearance with Department of Justice and FBI is required prior to official start of employment) Reliable transportationThe Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Engaging and friendly personality Comfortable working with groups of students of various ages and skill levels Independent worker with excellent time-management skills Strong organization and planning skills Excellent communication skills; both verbal and written Effective classroom management skills A strong background and passion for sewing and crafting Ability to use (and teach others how to use) a sewing machine, crafting tools, etc. Experience teaching sewing and craft classes is requiredJob Type:
Contract (Part-Time) In-Person Sounds of Color Studio is open Monday- Saturday. Weekday hours of operation (Monday
- Friday) are "after school" typically between 3pm
- 8pm, and on Saturday from 9am
- 2pm.
