MODEL HORSE DETAIL ARTIST/SPRAY FINISHER

Job Summary - Detail Artist/Spray Finisher We are looking for someone art-oriented, who is willing to learn and grow with our company! In this role you will create stunning, 3D works of equine art painted with an airbrush or with brushes in a production-oriented setting. You will also apply spray finish coats to equine art pieces. Previous knowledge of airbrush use, painting with brushes, or spray finish application is encouraged but not necessary, as we will provide on the job training for the right candidate. Job Responsibilities Use of airbrush and other techniques to add final details to equine art Follow sample models or other guidelines to recreate specific details Apply spray finish coats to equine art Use of techniques to paint efficiently while maintaining a high artistic standard and attention to detail The ability to address flaws throughout the process, including prep work before paint is applied and repair of paintwork after if necessary Work closely with coworkers as a team Ability to work independently, and to be able to interact and ask for assistance Ability to keep strict confidentiality re: all art and production techniques Benefits (Some Applicable after 90 days) We offer an hourly wage starting at $16.50 with an annual increase for years with the business, and a second increase for cost of living Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision insurance 80 Hours PTO Paid Holidays Skills & Qualifications Knowledge or willingness to learn about horses (a good eye for equine coat colors and patterns is highly desirable for this position) Knowledge or willingness to learn use of an airbrush (Especially IWATA and Badger models in the siphon-fed method) Knowledge or willingness to learn use of a spray finisher Artistic skills and creativity (examples are appreciated) Attention to detail Efficiency Communication Skills Must be personable, reliable, and adaptable Must be self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision Must be available to work on location only from 2:30 pm to 11:00 pm weekdays
