Flint Institute of Music - Capitol Theatre Office (Hybrid) Reports to:
VP, Finance and Administration FLSA Status:
Non-Exempt About the Opportunity The Artist Services Coordinator is a multi-faceted position responsible for facilities rental, event, and artist services coordination for all Flint Institute of Music buildings. The buildings include Flint Repertory Theatre, J Dallas Dort Music Center, James H Whiting Auditorium, and the Capitol Theatre. Specific Responsibilities and Qualifications Responsibilities
  • Review artist contracts for all performances/productions at the various venues as noted and prepare budget estimates for related rider requirements; arrange for artist hospitality and travel including accommodations, catering, transportation and special requests.
  • Prepare purchase orders/arrange for vendor payments (artist services); track expenses and reconcile with the corporate accounting system.
  • Manage calendar to ensure all needs are met for artists.
  • Prepare annual budgets in collaboration with the VP, Finance Administration, and Directors/Senior Managers of various venues.
  • Other duties or projects as assigned.
  • Assist with the development of, as well as coordinate and implement programs and opportunities Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in entertainment or business-related field of study, or equivalent professional experience
  • Required skills and Abilities
  • Exceptional customer service skills including the ability to discern customer needs and priorities.
  • Exceptional organizational and planning skills.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure of deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexible, self-motivated and detail-oriented.
  • Knowledge of basic office equipment and computer programs (MS Office) is required.
  • Valid Michigan driver license is and working vehicle are required.
Compensation and Benefits Information:
  • Competitive Pay at $15.00 per hour plus mileage reimbursement as needed.
