  • Shifts available for full or partial days, shifts vary based on studio needs
Overview:
ColorPop is a creative space designed to inspire young artists ages 3-12 (with the occasional adult classes or event). We are seeking enthusiastic and creative individuals with an art background to join our team as Studio Assistants. You will play a vital role in assisting teachers and children in weekly painting, clay and other mixed media camps, workshops and drop-in sessions while ensuring a welcoming and organized environment for all visitors.
Responsibilities:
    Setup and Preparation:
    ○ Set up painting stations, canvases, brushes, and other materials. ○ Ensure supplies are restocked and organized for the day's sessions.
      Teaching and Curriculum Delivery:
      ○ Support lead teachers during workshops, camps and special events, providing engaging and age-appropriate instruction. ○ Guide children through creative projects, fostering a positive and supportive learning environment.
        Class and Drop-In Assistance:
        ○ Assist children with setting up their painting or clay projects. ○ Fill and replenish paint palettes and clay materials as needed. ○ Provide clear, engaging instructions to help kids with techniques and creativity. ○ Offer one-on-one support and encouragement during sessions.
          Clean-Up Duties:
          ○ Daily cleaning and maintenance of the studio. ○ Wash brushes, palettes, and other reusable materials. ○ Sanitize surfaces and ensure the studio is tidy and ready for the next day.
          • Other Duties as
          Assigned:
          ○ Assist with special events, such as birthday parties or group classes. ○ Monitor and enforce studio rules to ensure a safe and respectful environment.
          Compensation:
          $18 per hour
          Qualifications:
          • Background in art (formal education, training, or extensive experience).
          • Experience working with children in a teaching or mentoring capacity is highly preferred.
          • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
          • A friendly and patient demeanor.
          • Basic computer skills for handling registrations and payments.
          • Ability to lift and move materials (up to 25 lbs). Why Join Us?
