Duties Help As a General Engineering, GS-0801-12, you will supervisory (less than 25%) and technical assistance to the Base Architect/Engineer in overseeing and managing the engineering shops and production control function. Provides technical support to all assigned sections. Provides guidance to these sections on standard and code requirements.

Develops engineered solutions to technical problems, which are incapable of being resolved by subordines. Typical problems require the need to perform extensive mhemical and technical calculions in engineering to include civil, mechanical, electrical, or general engineering as well as architecture. The incumbent provides subordine guidance and team leadership to Dual Stus and Title 5 employees. Incumbent performs planning development necessary to accomplish architecture and engineering functions for programs essential to ste Air Nional Guard daily operions, training, and readiness missions. Fosters an environment conducive to teaming among service providers and customers to meet ste Air Nional Guard requirements. EDUCATION/GENERAL EXPERIENCE

Degree:

Engineering. To be acceptable, the program must: (1) lead to a bachelor's degree in a school of engineering with least one program accredited by ABET; or (2) include differential and integral calculus and courses (more advanced than first-year physics and chemistry) in five of the following seven areas of engineering science or physics: (a) stics, dynamics; (b) strength of merials (stress-strain relionships); (c) fluid mechanics, hydraulics; (d) thermodynamics; (e) electrical fields and circuits; (f) nure and properties of merials (reling particle and aggrege structure to properties); and (g) any other comparable area of fundamental engineering science or physics, such as optics, he transfer, soil mechanics, or electronics. • college-level educion, training, and/or technical experience th furnished (1) a thorough knowledge of the physical and mhemical sciences underlying engineering, and (2) a good understanding, both theoretical and practical, of the engineering sciences and techniques and their applicions to one of the branches of engineering.

• Current registrion as an Engineer Intern (EI), Engineer in Training (EIT)1 , or licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE) by any Ste, the District of Columbia, Guam, or Puerto Rico.

Absent other means of qualifying under this standard, those applicants who achieved such registrion by means other than written test (e.g., Ste grandfher or eminence provisions) are eligible only for positions th are within or closely reled to the specialty field of their registrion. : Must have one year equivalent to least next lower grade level experience, educion, or training in preparing technical and engineering drawings.
