Job Description
Applications due by Oct. 1 Position Overview Cincinnati Shakespeare Company seeks passionate and innovative Education Associates to collaborate with our Director of Education and our Director of Outreach and Training to deliver educational programs that use theatrical practices and Shakespearean and other classical works to inspire learners of all ages. Primarily, Education Associates serve as facilitators for PROJECT38, a long-standing free program serving students and teachers in and around Cincinnati that introduces ideas of creativity and collaboration through Shakespeare. They may also teach individual workshops and/or longer-term residencies. Responsibilities Using Shakespeare's plays and related work, lead engaging and interactive workshops, residencies, and programs that integrate acting techniques, improvisation, text analysis, and other theatrical skills. With the Director of Outreach and Training, shape established lesson plans to align with individual classroom and program goals. Implement lesson plans with enthusiasm and generosity, fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment that encourages confidence, creativity, and critical thinking. Check in consistently with the Director of Outreach and Training via video chat or telephone. Other duties as assigned depending on programming. Competencies & Qualifications
