Creative Art Classroom Assistant — Ages 2-5 Monday-Friday | 9:00-11:00 AM Joyosity Creative Space | Brookfield, WI Optional additional evening + weekend hours available Do you genuinely love working with young children, have a creative side, and don't mind getting paint on your clothes? Joyosity Creative Space is a colorful, hands-on art studio where kids are encouraged to explore, create, imagine, experiment and get messy. We are a small team of six moms who work together to create a really special environment for children and families. We are looking for a Creative Art Classroom Assistant to join our weekday morning team working with children ages 2-5. This is not a sit-back-and-watch kind of job. We need someone who loves young kids, enjoys art and creativity, works well with a team and is willing to jump in wherever needed. What You'll Be Doing You'll work alongside our lead teachers during our morning art and creative enrichment classes. You may be helping a child paint one minute, setting up a sensory activity the next, washing brushes, resetting tables, sweeping up glitter or helping turn a cardboard box into something magical. Our classes are hands-on, process-based and sometimes wonderfully messy. You'll help with: Art projects and creative activities Sensory and messy play Imaginative play Classroom setup and cleanup Washing art supplies and resetting materials Helping children during transitions Supporting lead teachers throughout class Interacting, playing and creating with children Basic childcare needs when necessary Because we work with ages 2-5, you must also be comfortable changing a diaper if needed. This does not happen often because our morning class is only two hours long, but it is part of working with this age group. We're Looking for

Someone Who:

Has previous experience working with children ages 2-5 Truly enjoys being around young children Is creative and enjoys art, crafting, building and making Can help children explore an idea instead of worrying about everything looking "perfect" Is comfortable with paint, glue, sensory materials, slime and messy projects Is dependable and consistently available Monday-Friday from 9:00-11:00 AM Works well as part of a team Is willing to help teachers clean, organize and reset the studio Notices what needs to be done and jumps in without always needing to be asked Is patient, playful and energetic Is comfortable assisting with toileting or diapering when necessary Please Don't Apply If… You do not have experience working with young children, dislike cleaning, aren't comfortable getting messy, or are looking for a position where you can mostly sit and observe. Our teachers need a true teammate, and our kids need someone who genuinely enjoys creating and interacting with them. Great Hours for a Mom or Someone Wanting a Family-Friendly Schedule Our core hours for this position are Monday-Friday, 9:00-11:00 AM . We are also closed for many major holidays and breaks, which makes this a great position for someone looking for consistent part-time hours while still having flexibility for family life.
