Audio Engineer
Job Description
Overview We are seeking an Audio Engineer to join our team! You will support live rehearsal sessions by helping bands and musicians set up and operate PA and monitor systems, answer technical questions, manage front-desk duties, and handle occasional demo-recording and mixing needs. Your role is key to ensuring smooth rehearsals, live-streamed practices or mini-performances, and an outstanding client experience from check-in through wrap-up. Duties Client Support & Front Desk Responsibilities Greet and check in clients for recording, streaming, and filming sessions. Answer phones, schedules sessions, and handle general front-desk inquiries. Assist customers with setting up audio, lighting, and video equipment. Live Audio & Technical Services Assist in set up, and/or mix live audio for streaming, filming, and rehearsals. Troubleshoot and resolve audio issues with studio gear and client-provided equipment. Perform routine maintenance and testing of microphones, consoles, cabling, and outboard gear. Equipment & Project Management Inventory, organize, and maintain all studio audio, lighting, and video equipment. Manage and track small studio or client projects (e.g., rental checkouts, post-proudction edits) Maintain cleanliness and organization of all studios—roll cables, label gear, and ensure equipment is stored properly. Additional Duties Keep the workspace tidy and safe for clients and staff. Perform any other tasks assigned by management to support daily operations. Minimum Qualifications Experience & Educations Minimum of 2 years of live audio engineering experience Certificate or degree in Audio Engineering (preferred) Technical Skills Solid understanding of audio signal flow, routing, analog & digital processing, and gain structure. Hands-on experience with industry-standard DAWs (Logic Pro, Pro Tools, Ableton Live) Experience with digital and analog mixing boards. Basic knowledge of Dante networking protocols (preferred) Familiarity with mixing and mastering techniques (preferred) Basic understanding of DMX lighting systems (channels, modes, profiles) is a plus. Software & Computer Skills Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite or Google alternates. Comfortable learning new studio-management or scheduling software as needed.
