• San Francisco Event One World Rental is hiring an experienced Freelance Field IT Technician to support a multi-day corporate event in San Francisco, California .

This is a great opportunity for a technician who has hands-on event IT experience, is comfortable with Zebra ZD621 thermal badge printers , and can confidently troubleshoot technical issues onsite.

Independent Contractor / 1099 About the Event This is a professional corporate event where attendees will be checking in onsite and receiving printed event badges. The event will use Zebra ZD621 thermal badge printers as part of the registration process. Attendee information will be sent to the printers so badges can be produced onsite during check-in. Your role will be to make sure the badge-printing and registration technology is properly set up, tested, and ready before attendees arrive, and to provide technical support throughout the live event. Your Responsibilities You will be responsible for: Setting up and testing Zebra ZD621 thermal badge printers Connecting and configuring printers Loading and testing badge stock Checking printer connectivity Supporting laptops and registration equipment Performing full testing before the event goes live Troubleshooting printer, connectivity, hardware, and software issues Providing onsite technical support during the live event Working with the event registration team when technical issues arise Packing down equipment at the end of the assignment as required You should be someone who can look at a problem, troubleshoot it, and find a solution without needing constant direction . Requirements Zebra ZD621 experience is required. We are looking for someone with: Previous event IT, field IT, AV, or onsite technical experience Hands-on experience with Zebra ZD621 thermal badge printers Experience with event registration and badge-printing systems Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Basic networking and connectivity knowledge Excellent communication skills Professional customer-service skills A reliable and organized approach to work Ability to work independently and take ownership of technical issues Professional and presentable appearance Comfortable working directly with clients and event organizers Reliable transportation to the venue Availability for all three days and the complete scheduled shifts Experience supporting corporate conferences, hotels, registration systems, or live events is a strong asset.
