This is not a traditional installation-only position. We are looking for someone with a strong commercial AV background who can provide day-to-day AV support, proactively test and troubleshoot systems, assist with commissioning, and work confidently within a fast-paced SaaS technology environment. The selected candidate will be assigned primarily to a long-term client engagement and will become deeply familiar with the client's AV environment. Training will be provided on the specific systems, standards, and workflows in place, but the ideal candidate should already have the AV fundamentals and troubleshooting experience necessary to confidently walk into a complex commercial environment and begin learning the system. This position will initially support a dedicated client engagement expected to run for a minimum of one year, with the opportunity for continued growth beyond the initial engagement. Biamp Dante Crestron Extron Logitech Microsoft Teams Rooms and/or Zoom Rooms Commercial DSP programming and tuning AV-over-IP systems Commercial AV commissioning and system validation Manufacturer certifications are a plus, but practical experience and strong troubleshooting ability are equally important. The Person We're Looking For Technical ability is important, but this is also a highly visible, client-facing role. You'll work from the client's office and regularly interact with employees, executives, facilities teams, IT teams, and other stakeholders. We're looking for someone who is polished, approachable, communicative, and comfortable operating within a modern technology-company environment. You should be able to troubleshoot a complicated AV problem independently, communicate what's happening clearly to the end user, keep your workspace and documentation organized, and recognize when additional technical resources need to be brought in. Most importantly, we're looking for someone who takes ownership. If a room isn't working correctly, we want someone who wants to understand why and help drive the issue toward resolution rather than simply waiting for the next service request. Engagement & Growth This role will initially be centered around a dedicated, long-term San Francisco client engagement expected to run for a minimum of one year. Because this position will become deeply familiar with the client's environment, we're looking for someone interested in providing consistency throughout that engagement. You will be employed by an established commercial AV integration company and will remain part of the company's broader technical team while serving as the primary onsite resource for this client. You'll have access to engineering, programming, project, and support resources when additional expertise is needed. The goal is to find someone who can become an important part of the company's Bay Area technical team and continue growing beyond the initial client engagement.
