Position Overview:
We are seeking a Part-Time AV/Event Technician to assist with setup, operation, and strike of audiovisual equipment at various live events. This is an ideal role for someone with advanced AV knowledge, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn in a collaborative team environment. ________________________________________
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with the setup and breakdown of audio, lighting and LED equipment. Operate basic sound systems, stage lighting, and event-related gear. Load and unload gear safely and efficiently. Follow instructions from senior technicians and crew leads. Maintain equipment and ensure proper cable management and storage. Support the overall execution of live events in a professional and timely manner. ________________________________________
Requirements:
Working knowledge of audio systems and lighting equipment (wired and wireless mics, speakers, LED lighting, DMX, DANTE, etc.). Ability to lift equipment (up to 50 lbs.) and work on your feet for extended periods. Strong communication and teamwork skills. A positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and punctuality. Flexible schedule - Must be available for evenings, weekends, and irregular hours depending on event needs. Previous experience in live events, theater, or AV production is a must. Comfortable Working at heights on ladders, boom lifts and scissor lifts Ability to think outside the box and test your own limits and knowledge on non traditional AV work.
