About Us Prime Line AV is a full-service audiovisual and event production company based in West Palm Beach, Florida. We provide professional AV solutions for corporate events, conferences, live productions, festivals, and other special events. Our services include professional audio, lighting, staging, LED video walls, video production, and complete audiovisual event support. From preparation and setup through live event execution and breakdown, our team works together to deliver reliable, high-quality productions for our clients. About the Role Prime Line AV is looking for an experienced Audio Visual (AV) Technician to join our team in West Palm Beach. This is a hands-on position for someone who is comfortable setting up, operating, troubleshooting, and breaking down professional audiovisual equipment for live events and productions. The ideal candidate has practical experience with audio, video, lighting, LED displays, projection, staging, or other live event technology and can work efficiently both independently and as part of a production crew. Because we work in live event production, flexibility is important. Event schedules may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and occasional travel depending on project requirements. What You'll Do Set up, operate, test, troubleshoot, and break down audiovisual equipment for live events. Install and configure professional audio systems, microphones, speakers, mixers, and related equipment. Set up video equipment, displays, projectors, screens, switchers, cameras, and LED video walls as required. Assist with lighting systems, staging, cabling, rigging, and other production equipment based on event needs. Perform equipment checks before events to ensure systems are functioning properly. Run and organize audio, video, power, and data cables safely and professionally. Troubleshoot technical issues quickly during setup and live events. Follow production plans, equipment lists, diagrams, and instructions from Production Managers and event leads. Assist with loading and unloading AV equipment at venues and company facilities. Maintain proper care, organization, and handling of company equipment. Help prepare, test, pack, and return equipment before and after events. Communicate effectively with production team members, venue staff, clients, and other event professionals. Maintain a clean and safe working environment during setup, production, and breakdown. What We're Looking For Previous hands-on experience in audiovisual production, live events, event production, or a related technical field is strongly preferred. Working knowledge of professional audio, video, lighting, LED, projection, staging, or live production equipment. Ability to connect, configure, operate, and troubleshoot AV equipment. Understanding of signal flow, cabling, and basic AV system setup. Comfortable working in fast-paced live event environments where technical issues may need to be resolved quickly. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical instructions. Dependable, punctual, professional, and team-oriented. Ability to safely lift, carry, move, and set up AV equipment as required for the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation. Ability to work a flexible schedule based on event requirements, including some evenings and weekends. Ability to reliably report to work and event locations as scheduled. Preferred Qualifications Experience with one or more of the following is a plus: Digital audio consoles and professional sound systems Wireless microphones and RF systems LED video walls and processors Video switchers and presentation systems Projectors and large-format displays Professional lighting equipment and control systems Cameras and live video production Staging and event production equipment Corporate meetings, conferences, festivals, or large-scale live events What Success Looks Like A successful AV Technician at Prime Line AV is technically capable, dependable, organized, and calm under pressure.
