Job Description
Job Summary The Project Manager is eDesign's boots on the ground. The one constant across every install, holding the crew, the client, and the paperwork to the same standard from kickoff to sign-off. This is a field-leadership role at the center of eDesign's Installation department: supervising technicians, converting sold proposals into completed systems, and keeping every job documented, on schedule, and client-ready. The work demands technical fluency, steady leadership under pressure, and close daily coordination with the General Manager, Operations, Purchasing, and Design & Engineering. Field Leadership & Crew Supervision Supervise the team of Installation Technicians, lining out assignments each morning before departure and following up at the completion of each day. Train and mentor Installation Technicians, and assist field technicians on installs as necessary. Manage the day-to-day field schedule in coordination with Operations, and communicate project progression to the General Manager and Operations regularly. Program systems and assist on installs as required. Manage and delegate tasks to remote IT staff. Review end-of-day reports and take action as needed. Other duties and/or special projects as assigned. Customer Service & Support Perform service calls as needed and attend to other customer issues that arise on active or completed projects. Generate field invoices and troubleshoot client problems. Assist in managing the on-call service. Other duties and/or special projects as assigned. Technical Training & Standards Help the General Manager develop quality-control standards for every phase of a project's workmanship. Assist in the training portion of company meetings. Aid in developing and maintaining the Installation Standards Manual — system specifics for placement, height, staging, order of completion, and sign-offs. Attend industry events and manufacturer training as directed by management, and read trade publications to stay current on industry standards and technology. Other duties and/or special projects as assigned. Skills Experience in electrical and low-voltage wiring, home electronics, and/or security systems Knowledge of electrical engineering principles related to AV systems Ability to read construction drawings, schematics, blueprints, and technical schematics accurately Understanding of construction scheduling techniques and cost management strategies Excellent team leadership skills with the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders effectively Strong organizational skills with a focus on time management and meeting project deadlines Effective communication skills for collaborating across teams including clients, contractors, engineers, and regulatory agencies Licensed driver with a clean driving record Join us as a Project Manager AV Installation if you thrive on managing complex projects that require technical expertise combined with exceptional leadership.
