Position Summary:
AV Staff members set up and operate the video, audio, and lighting equipment used to enhance live events. This is an on-call as needed position. Venue:
Located in the heart of Cumberland County, the Crown Complex is a state-of-the-art, five-venue complex comprised of a 4,500-seat arena, a 9,200-square-foot ballroom, a 10,880-seat coliseum, an exposition center with 60,000 square feet of unobstructed space, and a 2,440-seat theater.
Responsibilities:
Install a printer, scanner, internet connectivity, and Wi-Fi connectivity. Set up and operate the video, audio, and lighting equipment used to enhance live events. Work on-call flexible shifts, days off, and long hours as needed. Provide lateral service to other departments with different job characteristics. Troubleshooting technical issues, instantly pinpointing faults and remedies during an event under electronics, audio, video, and lighting. Support event audio/video setup as needed. Usage and upkeep of basic electronics and connectivity. Basic PC troubleshooting, i.e., hardware and software failures and network connectivity issues. Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Previous experience with audiovisual tasks at a sports & entertainment venue is preferred. High school diploma or equivalent. Must have demonstrated ability to function in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. Exhibits good interpersonal skills; collaborates with others; maintains composure when faced with difficult situations and personalities. Ability to lift heavy objects. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with strong customer service experience. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, remaining flexible in your role. Knowledge and experience in Adobe CS, CC, or any photo and video editing software is a plus. Knowledge and experience in MS Office applications.
