Position Number 48TT20 Position Type Temporary Essential Job Duties The job of Classroom Support Technician under general supervision performs a wide variety of moderately difficult media/production tasks in a fast-paced, time-sensitive educational environment. These include on-site support for distance learning classrooms in multiple buildings/classrooms spread across both campuses, capturing and/or streaming live on-campus classes, assisting faculty with computer applications immediately during live lecture capture classes, and ensuring faculty has all that is necessary to teach both the face-to-face class but also to effectively capture the class for online distance education viewing and instruction; performs other job-related duties as required. Assists/instructs faculty and personnel in basic operations of classroom technologies, digital media applications, SMART boards, and computer equipment. Provides support for internal/external circulation of specific technology equipment. Travel between multiple buildings/classrooms across both campuses. On-call to support all classrooms, when needed, during assigned shifts Performs general tasks as assigned in classroom and control room environments including cleaning student desks and lecterns, instructional equipment, resetting student chairs before and after classes, and vacuuming floors. Promotes a professional image while assisting with classroom support. Performs other digital media/production work as assigned or necessary on a relief basis.
