Whether your background is in low-voltage/structured cabling, carpentry and fabrication, electrical work, IT/network hardware, automotive, or theater and stage — your hands-on skills are directly transferable to AV and smart home integration, and we'll train you on the rest.
Pay:
$75,000-$125,000/year, commensurate with experience. Full-time, salaried, with tools, a company vehicle, laptop, and cellphone provided. What You'll Do Perform rough-in wiring and rack fabrication, and mount TVs, speakers, projectors, keypads, cameras, and motorized shades Pull, label, and dress cable; terminate and test structured cabling (RJ45, keystone, patch panels, speaker wiring) Install and configure audio, video, distributed AV/AV-over-IP, networking, Wi-Fi, lighting control, motorized shades, surveillance, access control, intercom, and HVAC integration Configure and troubleshoot IP-connected devices — managed switches, VLANs, DHCP, static IPs, PoE, and wireless infrastructure Enter data and configure home control/automation systems during installation and commissioning Receive, label, rack, cable, and test equipment at our facility before it ships to the jobsite Test, commission, and troubleshoot completed systems, and document quality-control results Read architectural plans, wiring diagrams, rack elevations, and system schematics, and flag field conditions that conflict with the design Run service calls and diagnose issues on existing systems Coordinate daily with programmers, engineers, project managers, and other trades on site Maintain accurate as-built notes, wire labeling, and job documentation Keep job sites clean and safe while protecting custom millwork, stone, artwork, and finished interiors Manage tools, truck stock, and job materials; complete manufacturer and in-house training What We're Looking For Hands-on experience installing residential home control, AV, or entertainment systems — or transferable experience from electrical, construction, carpentry/fabrication, automotive, theater/stage, or IT hardware work Familiarity with any of: Crestron, Savant, Lutron HomeWorks, Ketra, Ruckus, Netgear, SonicWall, AV-over-IP, motorized shades, surveillance, or access control (you don't need to know every system — just troubleshoot logically and learn quickly) Working knowledge of networking fundamentals, or strong aptitude to learn A genuine interest in integration technology and new systems System programming/configuration experience is a plus, not required Professionalism and discretion in clients' homes, with pride in clean, precise workmanship Meticulous attention to detail, including precise measuring and drilling Strong communication skills with clients, contractors, architects, designers, and internal teams Comfortable with hand/power tools and working from ladders and lifts High school diploma or equivalent; Crestron, Lutron, or Savant certifications a plus — Osbee sponsors certification training Valid U.S. driver's license; able to lift up to 50 lbs Compensation & Benefits $75,000-$125,000/year, full-time salaried Health insurance, with optional dental and vision Life insurance and employee assistance program Flexible spending account 401(k) with up to 4% company match 16 days PTO plus 10 paid holidays Company-sponsored certification training and professional development Tools, company vehicle, laptop, and cellphone provided Employee discount Location & Schedule Full-time, in person, Monday-Friday, based out of our headquarters and showroom in Harrison, NY — easily reached via I-95 and the Hutchinson River Parkway, and near the Harrison Metro-North station.
