As soon as possibleDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Install, configure, troubleshoot, and repair audio-visual systems at 30+ sites Projectors and screens Sound systems (amplifiers, microphones, speakers, mixing boards) Stage lighting (lights, control consoles, mixing boards) School cameras and video distribution systems (eg. daily announcement video shows) Televisions and cable TV Perform as-needed temporary AV installations, setups, and de-installations Transport AV equipment using division-owned vehicles Research AV hardware specifications, compatibilities, and pricing in order to make purchasing recommendations Coordinate and oversee the AV work of third-party contractors at sites as needed Assist with the installation and troubleshooting of Promethean interactive displays Assist with network wiring and troubleshooting Proactively plan hardware life-cycles for replacements and upgrades Find inefficiencies in processes and systems and design corrective solutions Collaborate with other staff to design and implement solutions to specific problems Perform other duties as assignedJOB REQUIREMENTS
Professional work experience with commercial-level AV installation, operation, maintenance, and repair Professional work experience with power tools, including saws, drills, and other hand tools Professional work experience with ethernet wiring, hardware, and systems Ability to select and use industry-standard safe and proper installation methods, hardware, and tools for a variety of wall and ceiling materials Ability to troubleshoot and repair systems quickly and efficiently Ability to learn new systems quickly and efficiently Ability to communicate clearly and positively, both verbally and in writing Ability to organize and prioritize multiple daily tasks Ability to collaborate positively with other staff, both technical and non-technical Ability to use a variety of computing form factors and platforms Ability to operate a computer in an office environment daily Ability to safely lift up to 70 pounds Ability to safely climb 6-12' ladders for installation purposes Ability to safely drive a transport van Acceptable driving record (DMV records will be queried)APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS
