Full Job Description Production Technician Job Description Role Summary:
The Production Tech and Videographer serves as a key member of the Creative and Communications team. This position supports the mission of Graceway by providing excellent live production support and creating high quality video content that helps tell the story of what God is doing in and through our church. This team member will operate across weekend services, midweek events, video shoots, editing, and the continued development of our visual communication strategy. This role blends hands-on technical skill with creative storytelling. The ideal candidate is dependable, ministry-minded, detail oriented, and passionate about using visual media and production systems to help people love God and love people.
Experience and Knowledge Required:
Strong experience with videography, lighting, audio, and live production environments Well versed in Dante networks, ProPresenter, lighting consoles, and audio mixing Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro and basic After Effects knowledge Experience with cinema style cameras, mirrorless cameras, and broadcast style operation Ability to edit fast paced content with excellent storytelling instincts Comfortable working in a church environment and aligned with the mission of Graceway Strong communicator with a teachable spirit and a heart for ministry Ability to lift and move equipment as needed Willingness to work Sundays, some evenings, and occasional special events Experience leading volunteers is preferred
Key Responsibilities:
Live Production Support all weekend services through stage setup, tech checks, and live service execution Operate systems such as camera, lighting board, ProPresenter, video switcher, audio utility, and broadcast support Work confidently in Dante networks including routing, troubleshooting, and basic system management Assist in maintaining and organizing production gear including lighting fixtures, consoles, cameras, lenses, audio equipment, and broadcast systems Help troubleshoot technical issues during services and events Support special services, events, rehearsals, and ministries throughout the week Videography & Editing Produce high quality video content for weekend services, social media, in service stories, announcements, and ministry needs Work with ministry leaders to develop creative concepts and plan shoots Film interviews, testimonies, ministry highlights, promotional videos, and creative storytelling pieces Edit videos in alignment with Graceway brand, tone, and visual style Maintain organized project files, media archives, and workflows Capture content at church events and gatherings Creative Collaboration Partner with the Creative and Communications team on weekly planning and brainstorming Contribute ideas for visual storytelling and creative approaches to ministry communication Uphold the values of excellence, gratitude, and tenacity in all production and creative responsibilities Serve and lead Dream Team volunteers with humility and pastoral care Create a culture of ownership and empowerment within the production team
