Named Ad Age's 2025 Multicultural Agency of the Year and recognized by PRWeek for Best in Multicultural Marketing, IW Group produces culture-shaping campaigns for global and national brands. IW Group drives impactful work by blending storytelling, cultural insight, and innovation to achieve measurable results. We represent multiple brands and deliver distinctive multicultural and cross-generational campaigns. The Role We're seeking a curious, culturally fluent Junior Copywriter who can help turn insights into big, bold ideas; and those ideas into compelling stories across platforms. This role is ideal for an emerging creative who thinks beyond headlines and captions. You should be energized by culture, deeply engaged with social media, and constantly paying attention to what Gen Z is watching, sharing, talking about, and moving on from. You'll contribute to campaigns across social, digital, experiential, and TV/OLV, helping develop concepts that are culturally relevant, visually inspiring, and built for how audiences engage today. You'll work closely with art directors, designers, strategists and account teams to develop ideas from the initial brief through final execution. The right candidate can contribute original thinking, communicate ideas clearly, manage several assignments at once, and use AI and emerging creative tools to rapidly explore and bring concepts to life. What You'll Do Develop bold, culturally relevant ideas for campaigns, social content, digital experiences, activations, and TV/OLV. Turn strategic insights into clear creative concepts, campaign platforms, social-first ideas, and compelling stories. Write engaging copy across social media, digital, experiential, TV/OLV, presentations, and other brand touchpoints. Stay current on cultural conversations, entertainment, emerging creators, platform behaviors, memes, visual trends, and the rapidly evolving ways Gen Z engages with brands. Understand and adapt to each brand's distinct voice while identifying opportunities to make the work feel fresh and culturally resonant. Collaborate closely with Strategy to ensure ideas are grounded in audience and cultural insights. Work with Account teams to understand client objectives, respond thoughtfully to feedback, and keep creative solutions aligned with the brief. Use generative AI and other emerging tools to explore ideas, develop visual references, prototype executions, and communicate creative thinking. Contribute to brainstorms, creative reviews, and working sessions. Manage multiple projects, assignments, and deadlines simultaneously in a fast-paced agency environment. Support projects from initial concept development through revisions, production, and final delivery. Edit and proofread work to ensure accuracy, clarity, consistency, and attention to detail. Support other members of the Creative department and contribute to a collaborative, curious, and generous team culture. What You'll Bring Education and Experience 0-2 years of experience as a copywriting intern, junior copywriter, creative intern, content creator, or similar role in an agency, brand, media, or related creative environment. A portfolio demonstrating conceptual thinking, writing ability, social fluency, and a point of view. Speculative, academic, independent, and self-initiated work is welcome. A genuine passion for advertising, storytelling, social media, entertainment, and culture. Strong attention to detail Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of, or a strong interest in, AAPI communities, identities, and cultural nuances. Experience developing ideas or content intended for Gen Z audiences. Familiarity with generative AI tools for copy, image generation, video exploration, research, or rapid creative prototyping. Experience creating social content or maintaining a personal creative practice, such as writing, filmmaking, design, content creation, comedy, music, or cultural commentary.
