Job Description

Freelance Creative Director The Tigrett Agency Scottsdale, AZ Job Details Part-time | Contract From $2,500 a month 7 hours ago Qualifications Email marketing Teamwork Attention to detail Creative director experience Copywriting experience within retail Art direction Copywriting Full Job Description About Tigrett Agency Tigrett Agency is a full-service creative advertising agency based in Scottsdale, Arizona. We solve unique business problems for local and national brands through strategic thinking, strong creative, and work designed to perform. Our capabilities span brand development, advertising, creative production, digital marketing, social media, web design and development, and everything required to bring an integrated campaign to life. We're looking for a Freelance / Part-Time Creative Director to join our team and help lead creative for a growing consumer brand account in the golf space. Golf industry experience is a plus, but it isn't a requirement. What matters more is an understanding of consumer brands, culture, advertising, and how to turn a strong strategy into creative people actually want to engage with. About the Role We're looking for a Creative Director who is every bit as comfortable making the work as they are directing it. This is not a role for someone who only wants to review concepts, manage creatives, or provide high-level direction. You'll be expected to roll up your sleeves and contribute directly—from developing campaign concepts and designing creative to writing headlines, building decks, directing shoots, and shaping content across channels. You're a conceptual thinker with strong visual instincts and enough range to move fluidly between graphic design, art direction, photo and video, copywriting, social content, and advertising. You understand that a great campaign is bigger than a single ad. You can establish the creative idea, translate it across the customer journey, and build a cohesive visual and verbal system that works across paid media, organic social, web, retail, product launches, influencer content, sales materials, and brand experiences. For our immediate needs, you'll help develop and execute creative for a consumer products brand within the golf industry, working closely with Tigrett's strategy, media, production, and account teams. What You'll Be Doing Lead creative concept development for integrated advertising campaigns and product launches. Turn marketing strategy and creative briefs into compelling campaign platforms, big ideas, visual systems, and executions. Personally create work, including graphic design, campaign layouts, social creative, digital advertising, presentations, storyboards, moodboards, and other visual assets. Develop headlines, campaign copy, scripts, social content, product messaging, and other brand communications. Establish and maintain a consistent visual and verbal direction across channels. Art direct and help execute photo and video productions, including shot development, treatments, storyboards, talent direction, and on-set creative direction. Concept short-form video, social-first content, paid-media creative, product demonstrations, and lifestyle content. Partner with designers, photographers, videographers, editors, copywriters, strategists, media buyers, developers, and outside production partners when additional resources are needed. Develop presentation-quality concepts and pitch creative internally and directly to clients. Think through how a central campaign idea translates across paid media, organic social, influencer marketing, PR, web, email, retail, events, and sales channels. Collaborate with paid-media teams to develop creative variations designed for testing, optimization, and performance. Participate in strategic brainstorming, campaign planning, creative brief development, and client presentations. Manage multiple projects, timelines, and deliverables without sacrificing the quality of the work. Maintain a high creative standard while understanding when something needs another round—and when it simply needs to ship. What We're Looking For 5+ years of creative experience, ideally within an advertising agency, creative studio, consumer brand, or similarly fast-paced environment. A portfolio that demonstrates both strong conceptual thinking and exceptional execution. We want to see the ideas behind the work as much as the finished product.
You should have:
Strong graphic design and visual communication skills. A sophisticated understanding of typography, layout, composition, branding, and art direction. Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and/or comparable professional creative tools. Experience concepting and directing photography and video. Strong copywriting skills with the ability to develop campaign headlines, scripts, social copy, product messaging, and brand voice. Experience developing integrated advertising campaigns across multiple channels. A strong understanding of social media and how creative needs to adapt across platforms and formats. An understanding of performance creative and how advertising concepts can be translated into variations for paid social and digital media. Experience working with consumer-facing brands; CPG, sporting goods, lifestyle, outdoor, apparel, or golf experience is a plus. The ability to communicate ideas clearly through sketches, moodboards, comps, decks, treatments, and finished creative. Confidence presenting creative thinking internally and to clients. The ability to work quickly, independently, and collaboratively within a small agency environment. Strong attention to detail without losing sight of the larger strategic idea. Most importantly, you need to be someone who still loves making things. The right candidate can sit in a strategy session in the morning, develop a campaign idea before lunch, design the first execution that afternoon, write the headline that goes on it, and help direct the shoot that brings it to life. You'll Probably Love This Role If… You have senior-level creative experience but still want to be close to the work. You enjoy the variety and pace of an independent agency. You can think conceptually without becoming precious about your ideas. You follow advertising, design, photography, filmmaking, social media, and culture because you genuinely enjoy the craft. You're equally interested in creating something beautiful and creating something effective. And you'd rather build a great piece of creative than spend your entire day managing the people building it. What's the Opportunity? You'll have the opportunity to become a key creative voice within Tigrett Agency and help shape work for an emerging consumer brand with significant growth potential. This role will initially focus heavily on a client within the golf / consumer products space, with opportunities to contribute across Tigrett's broader client roster as the relationship develops. We're a collaborative, entrepreneurial agency where strong ideas can come from anywhere. We value people who are talented, curious, easy to work with, willing to challenge the expected, and capable of taking ownership when an opportunity is in front of them. While we work hard and care deeply about the quality of the work, we also value flexibility and life outside the agency. We combine remote work with a collaborative office environment in North Scottsdale. Our ideal candidate can work remotely when appropriate while also being available for planned—and occasionally impromptu—creative sessions, client meetings, presentations, and productions in the Scottsdale / Phoenix area. Interested in Applying? We care far more about the work than an overly polished cover letter. Send us your resume, portfolio, a brief introduction, your availability, and your freelance/part-time rate expectations at . When sharing your portfolio, we'd especially love to see examples of: Integrated advertising campaigns Consumer or lifestyle brands Graphic design and art direction Photography and video Social and digital advertising Copywriting and campaign concepts Work where you personally contributed to the execution—not just the direction Come help us make work worth paying attention to.
