Responsibilities Curate and mix South Asian music genres to suit the event's atmosphere, ensuring seamless audio transitions and engaging playlists. Act as the master of ceremonies (MC), delivering lively announcements, introductions, and interactive commentary to energize the crowd. Operate event audio equipment, including sound systems, microphones, speakers, and lighting setups, ensuring optimal sound quality throughout the event. Coordinate with event organizers and clients to understand their vision, preferences, and special requests for music selection and program flow. Manage live sound adjustments during events, troubleshooting technical issues swiftly to maintain a high-energy environment. Engage with guests through public speaking and crowd interaction, encouraging participation in dances, games, or cultural activities. Assist with event setup and breakdown, including heavy lifting of audio-visual equipment when necessary. Skills Proven experience in DJing with a strong understanding of music mixing techniques across South Asian genres such as Bollywood, Bhangra, Punjabi folk, Tamil hits, etc. Excellent public speaking and presentation skills that captivate diverse audiences. Strong crowd interaction abilities to read the room and adapt entertainment accordingly. Exceptional customer service skills to liaise effectively with clients and guests before and during events.
