Job Description

Overview The Coachella Valley Lakers are aiming to build the most entertaining environment in sports. We are looking for some enthusiastic, outgoing, and responsible folks to serve as members of the CV Lakers Dunk Team for the 2026-2027 season. This position provides a great opportunity to interact with our fans while learning about the operations of a pro basketball team. These members will assist with in-game promotions, contests, on-court performances, and other activities during each Laker home game. This role will pay an hourly rate of $25.00.

Responsibilities Perform exciting, high-energy basketball dunk routines during pregame, halftime, and designated game breaks. Execute a variety of athletic dunks, trick shots, alley-oops, and choreographed performances while maintaining the highest safety standards. Engage and energize fans through crowd interaction, audience participation, and entertainment throughout the event. Collaborate with the Game Presentation Manager, Game Director, DJ, mascot, and production staff to deliver seamless live entertainment. Arrive prepared for rehearsals, practices, and game-day performances, demonstrating professionalism and reliability. Learn, rehearse, and perform new routines, choreography, and promotional segments throughout the season. Assist with the setup, inspection, operation, and breakdown of all performance equipment, basketballs, trampolines (if applicable), and props. Follow production cues and maintain awareness of game timing to ensure all performances begin and conclude on schedule. Promote a safe performance environment by adhering to all arena policies and team safety procedures. Represent the Coachella Valley Lakers organization with professionalism at games, community appearances, media events, and promotional activities. Maintain a high level of physical fitness, conditioning, and performance readiness throughout the season. Support fan engagement initiatives through autograph sessions, photo opportunities, contests, and sponsor activations when requested. Work collaboratively with fellow performers while maintaining a positive, team-first attitude. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Experience with trampoline dunk teams. Previous experience in sports entertainment, promotions, dance, cheer, theater, live events, or customer engagement is preferred but not required. Strong choreography or performance background—ability to learn and execute new routines quickly. Demonstrated basketball playing experience at the high school, collegiate, semi-pro, or professional level is preferred. Must be reliable, punctual, and have a professional appearance and conduct. Must be outgoing, energetic, and comfortable interacting with large crowds with a positive attitude with a passion for creating unforgettable fan experiences on and off camera. Strong stage presence with the confidence to dance, entertain, and engage fans of all ages. Ability to remain organized and perform efficiently in a fast-paced, live event environment. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment. Flexible schedule with availability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.
