Job Description
Overview The Coachella Valley Firebirds are aiming to build the most entertaining environment in sports. We are looking for some enthusiastic, outgoing, and responsible folks to serve as members of the Firebirds Energy Team for the 2026-2027 season. This position provides a great opportunity to interact with our fans while learning about the operations of a professional hockey team. These members will assist with in-game promotions, contests, on-ice performances, and other activities during each Firebirds home game. This role will pay an hourly rate of $20.00 Benefits for Part-Time roles: 401(k) savings plan and 401(k) matching. This position will remain open until December 4, 2026. Responsibilities Working with the game director and manager on the preparation and organization of all entertainment aspects of the Firebirds' home games. Assisting in execution of game night plans, mascot skits, and all contests/promotions on the ice and in the stands. Staging and maintenance of all in-game props and promotions. Organizing all game night set-up, including game night mapping, notes, walkthroughs, and other special event needs as required. Engage with fans during pre-game to bring in contestants and participation for in-game promotions and Zamboni rides. Assists in inventory of all props and in-game fan giveaways. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Attention to detail and great organizational skills. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment. Strong ability to work well with others in a team environment. Ability to work independently and see projects through completion. Strong communication skills. Ability to skate is a plus, but NOT required. Ability to walk and/or stand for extended periods of time. Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull heavy equipment. Ability to climb up and down stairs multiple times during a shift. Must be able to work a minimum of 80% of Firebirds' home games. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
