JOB OVERVIEW
As a drumline member for the Colorado Eagles, you will energize the crowd and enhance the game-day experience through high-energy percussion performances. You'll work closely with the team's entertainment staff to create an engaging atmosphere during home games and special events.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Performance:
Play percussion instruments (snare, bass, tenors) during games, intermissions, and other events, contributing to the overall entertainment experience.
Rehearsal Attendance:
Participate in regular rehearsals to refine performance pieces and ensure cohesive teamwork.
Music Preparation:
Learn and memorize a repertoire of beats, cheers, and songs that align with the team's branding and audience engagement strategies.
Crowd Engagement:
Interact with fans during games to boost energy levels and create a vibrant atmosphere in the arena.
Collaboration:
Work with the Eagles' entertainment team to coordinate performances, including formations and choreography.
Equipment Maintenance:
Ensure all percussion instruments are properly maintained and ready for performances.
Qualifications:
Proficiency in playing percussion instruments, particularly those used in a drumline setting. Previous experience in a drumline, marching band, or similar performance group is preferred. Strong sense of rhythm and ability to read sheet music. Energetic, charismatic personality with excellent crowd-interaction skills. Team-oriented with a positive attitude and a strong work ethic. Availability for evening and weekend events during the hockey season.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to carry and transport percussion equipment. Good physical stamina to perform for extended periods.
