Ballpark Operations Intern Who We Are:
We are the Alton River Dragons Baseball team, a Prospect League summer collegiate wood- bat baseball league. We believe in providing a great workplace for our Staff and Interns, while providing a first class entertainment experience to our guests.
Ballpark Operations Intern:
The Alton River Dragons are seeking qualified candidates to assist in the ballpark operations of Lloyd Hopkins Field as Ballpark Operations Intern. This position will help managing Concessions Operations, Food and Beverage, hospitality areas, and ballpark operations. They will also assist in pre and post game clean up of the ballpark, as well as other Non River Dragons events. Ballpark Operations interns play a major part in the overall fan experience, so friendliness and enjoy working with others is very important in this role. This summer internship program runs from Mid May - Mid August, with all interns needing to be available for all River Dragons home games as well as various off day events. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): Assist in the execution of daily ballpark operations, cleaning, and Food and Beverage Management Assist in stocking, preparing, and presentation of the ballpark, concession stands, and hospitality areas Assist in daily maintenance of the ballpark and equipment on game and non game days Assist with food preparation (Caterings, Concessions, Post Game team meals, etc) Monitor food preparation to maximize sales and minimize waste Assist in ordering and receiving inventory and deliveries Knowledge of Game day activities Manage hospitality areas, fulfilling guest requests Able to fill in other game day staff roles, if needed Restocking concessions during games Inventory Management Assist in the clean up and closing of concessions at the end of the game/event
Required Skills/Abilities:
