We're seeking an Audio Technician to join our growing team and play a key role in bringing execution, joy and connection to every event we touch. Position Overview The Audio Technician is responsible for supporting live events including weddings, corporate events, private parties, and productions throughout Chicago and surrounding suburbs. This role is ideal for someone who loves live sound, understands DJ and event audio workflows, and takes pride in delivering clean, professional event experiences. This role requires a detail-oriented technician who can manage logistics, equipment, and staff while ensuring flawless event execution. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, balances creative problem-solving with strong organizational skills, and has grit. Key Responsibilities Configure technical setups, operation, and strike of equipment at events. Set up, operate, and strike audio & lighting systems for live events (DJ rigs, PA systems, wireless microphones, mixers, speakers, monitors, and lighting) Support DJs and live performers with sound setup, monitoring, and troubleshooting Manage audio signal flow, gain staging, and clean cable management Troubleshoot technical audio issues quickly and calmly during live events Manage customer service requests in terms of production for events promptly, ensuring timely and effective resolutions Load, unload, and transport AV equipment; assist with truck packs and strikes Communicate clearly and professionally with DJs, clients, vendors, and team members Anticipate potential issues and solve problems before they impact the event Maintain a clean, polished, and visually professional event setup Represent the company with professionalism on-site at all times Qualifications 1-2 years of experience in event production, AV/lighting, or related fields. Baseline knowledge of DJ entertainment and how it functions Experience with: PA systems, Wireless microphones, Mixers (analog and/or digital), DJ audio setups Ability to troubleshoot technical and logistical challenges under pressure Strong understanding of audio signal flow, gain staging, and routing Comfortable working independently in fast-paced, live-event environments Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Flexible schedule with availability for evenings, weekends, and event days Passion for live events, music, and delivering memorable client experiences Must be able to lift 50 lbs Key skills needed for successDetail-Oriented :

Part-Time Commitment:
